Well, I'm actually away for the weekend, but I didn't want you to forget all about me, so here's a recent project I made for a customer. She e-mailed me asking about gift certificates. I promptly made one up for her and here it is! I like to make my gift certificates cute and inspiring, and I like them to fit the season.
The gift certificate info was printed on my computer. I then stamped a background on both the outside and inside layers using the decorative stamp from Polka Dots & Paisley. I borrowed from a previous design (see my post from October 18th) and made an embellishment for the lower right corner. And, of course you recognize my favorite fall color combo!
I bet some of you are wondering what background I used on the Pumpkin Pie base. I made this at one of my Technique Clubs...when I taught club members how to use household supplies in their stamping. This background was created using shelf liner!
On the inside of the card I affixed my business card with the help of a coordinating piece of cardstock and the slit punch. Simple, simple, simple. If you like to give gift cards, I highly recommend the slit punch so you can stamp up a great card to give along with a gift card...it makes the gift so much more meaningful in that the recipient knows you took the time to make it. The slit punch also has other fabulous uses, like making scalloped edges or matchbook-design projects.
If you would like to give a Stampin' Up! gift certificate to someone you know, please don't hesitate to call me. I'll be happy to make up a gift certificate for you! And feel free to mention that to your spouse, lol.
