As one who teaches at a community college, I've been enjoying my down time between semesters. Well, now I am. It was a little crazy at the start due to an ice storm that left me without power for four days, which coincided with a Christmas musical at church (cancelled Friday but the show went on the rest of the weekend) and of course there was all the hustle and bustle that comes with Christmas. But this past week I've done mostly nothing. And loved it.
I have started my swaps that I'll be swapping in Orlando next week for Leadership. Thought I'd share one with you tonight. I joined a "Single Layer Swap" which meant that I could only use a basic card...no extra layers at all. Inspired by Nature was a set I got not too long ago, so I decided to play with that. I used the Poppin' Pastels technique. The card is Kraft cardstock and I chose that because I knew most people would probably be going with Whisper White or Very Vanilla.
I did do a second Single Layer Swap, but I'm not going to post that until I'm in Orlando. I do have some general swaps left to make (no rules) so I'll be posting them between now and Tuesday. On Tuesday I'll post what I'm giving my Leadership roommates, as well as that second Single Layer card...so check back soon!

great card, Sharon! I love this set as well...haven't seen a card done with it that I haven't really liked. Looks so nice with the Poppin' Pastels, too! Can't wait to finally meet you in person in Orlando. Jan
